Aston Villa may have invested in attacking options this summer but it has not paid off quite like they would have liked. Goals have come at a premium for Tim Sherwood's men and now they are being linked with a new attacking option.
And not for the first time.
Villa were linked with a loan move for Real Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez this summer along with a host of teams.
However, in the end it was decided he would remain at Real.
Since then his first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu have not improved leaving him open to a potential loan move away from the club - as reported by Diario AS.
That information has been relayed by The Mirror, among many, with Villa said to be interested alongside Italian outfits Napoli and Inter Milan.
Villa, who are also believed to be interested in Emmanuel Adebayor, would be getting a great talent in Jese. The move would likely be a loan or permanent deal with a buy-back option for the 22-year-old.
Jese has played just 134 minutes of football in La Liga this season and has struggled to find his way back into the Real team since recovering from a serious knee injury.
